Our walk will start on the north-shore of Hoan Kiem Lake, where we will first visit Ngoc Son Pagoda. From there we will walk a short distance to the lively Hang Be Market, the only market in Hanoi that sells fruit all year. After taking time to absorb the rich vibe of the market, we will walk a little further to the Historic House on Ma May Street. This house was built at the end of the 19th century and restored in 1999 to preserve the ancient architecture of Hanoi. We will then continue on, walking down the busy streets, passing stores and street stands selling these wares. We’ll then pass St. Joseph’s Cathedral which was built by the French in 1887. The tour will conclude at a café overlooking Hoan Kiem Lake where we will have a chance to relax and reflect all that we have seen today.
