Meet your private guide at hotel and transfer to the jetty on the Perfume River. There we hop on a light boat and glide upstream to the Thien Mu Pagoda. Not only one of the oldest & most revered Buddhist site in Hue, the pagoda is also known for one of its monks who burnt himself to protest the war in 1960s. Leaving the pagoda we drive for a while to the Imperial Citadel, the capital seat of the Nguyen Dynasty. The imperial palaces and grounds stretch for full miles. Numerous relics tell the story of the gone glory. After lunch at a garden restaurant we pay a visit to the eternal residence of Tu Duc and Khai Dinh emperors. The two tombs are miniatures of the Forbidden City, but modified. We can stroll through Hue’s biggest market, Dong Ba. Don’t miss a chance to reveal the secrets inside the conical hats that make Hue girls graceful. The trip ends around 5:00 pm.
