  Share Vietnam and Laos with your family as you discover the diverse regions and meet the smiling locals. Become an Elephant Mahout near Luang Prabang and learn about rice planting at an organic farm. Float on sparkling Halong Bay on an overnight boat and crawl through the Cu Chi tunnels. Learn to navigate a basket boat near Hoi An and experience the relaxed lifestyle of the Mekong Delta on an overnight home-stay.

  START => Luang Prabang, Hanoi, Halong Bay Overnight Cruise, Hoi An, Saigon, Mekong Delta, Cu Chi Tunnels => FINISH

   

  DAYS 1-3: LUANG PRABANG

  Arrive in Luang Prabang and meet the other families sharing your adventure. The next morning, become an elephant mahout for a day at Elephant village then return for a traditional Baci ceremony. Get a hands-on experience of the rice planting experience at an organic farm then stop for a swim at the stunning Kuang Si Waterfall.

  DAYS 4-6: HANOI & HALONG BAY

  Fly to Hanoi and transfer to your hotel. Visit the Museum of Ethnology for a taste of Vietnam’s cultural heritage. Discover the serene Temple of Literature and uncover fascinating history at the infamous Hanoi Hilton prison, before an evening performance of the famous water puppets delights. A scenic drive past farmers working the rice paddies brings you to World Heritage listed Halong Bay where you board an exciting boat cruise and float past hundreds of soaring limestone mountains. A night on-board is a highlight for young and old. On your return to Hanoi, a short flight brings you to Hoi An.

  DAYS 7-10: HOI AN

  Experience local life on an interactive farming and fishing tour, where you can try your hand at riding a buffalo, planting a garden, steering a basket boat and traditional net fishing, a great way to learn about local culture while having heaps of fun. A full day of free time gives you the chance to explore Hoi An, perhaps relaxing at the beach or roam the colourful streets of this atmospheric town. Take part in an art class and learn the local art of lantern making, before a visit to Marble Mountain.

  DAYS 11-15: SAIGON & MEKONG DELTA

  Fly to Saigon, Vietnam’s largest city. Stroll along historic Dong Khoi Street and visit the reunification Palace and War remnants Museum. In the tranquil Mekong Delta, a day spent cruising the waterways and visiting local farms and orchards is followed by a home-stay with a local family to immerse you into the local culture. Return to Saigon for a fun-filled afternoon at the Dam Sen Waterpark. The whole family will enjoy the trip to the amazing Cu Chi tunnels where you have the chance to crawl through the tunnels yourself. On your last day, enjoy free time until your departure transfer.
